The Chairs That Care project at Leo Nickerson School, in Edmonton, saw old wooden chairs refurbished and sold at auction in support of Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Hospital. About 45 chairs were painted by students, staff, community members and local artists. Students were excited about the event and spent hours of their free time and recesses sanding, priming and painting.
